Post Office Savings Schemes Fully Digitised to Enhance Financial Inclusion New Delhi, Feb 11: The government has completed the digitisation of Post Office Savings Schemes, significantly improving access, transparency, and customer convenience across the country. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said that the Department of Posts currently serves more than 45 crore Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) account holders through a nationwide network of over 1.64 lakh post offices. To modernise postal savings, Core Banking Solution (CBS) has been implemented across POSB, enabling digital services such as ATMs, internet and mobile banking, online account opening and closure, deposits, real-time balance enquiry, and fund transfers through NEFT and RTGS. Linkage between India Post Payments Bank and POSB accounts has also been enabled, allowing seamless transactions.

Discrepancy reports can be generated HO wise/Division wise in Excel. Sometimes, if delivery staff perform a CELC transaction but fail to enter the amount in the Micro ATM app, the transaction will not appear in the *IPPB Daily CMR Report* or the *data fetch in APT*. However, these transactions are available in the *Monthly CTR Report*, which makes the comparison vital.

Some references have been received at this office regarding exemption categories for OTP based booking which is presently not displayed in the booking module. It is clarified that till the time eligibility criteria is displayed in the booking module under APT 2.0, a list of categories for which OTP is exempted has been attached with this email. 3. It is requested that the attached list may be disseminated to all the booking offices till the time functionality of displaying the exempted category is built under APT.
