Earlier, this activity was being carried out by CEPT based on Support Desk tickets. In this regard, the detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the creation of Post IDs at the Circle level is enclosed for reference and necessary action. Frequent mistakes in DTR-Budget Recon functionality, leading to duplicate entries and causing increase in consumption report/deduction of consumable budget availability. 1. Payroll transactions are posted, without checking whether they are posted already from Payroll automatically, 2 or 3 days prior to the date on which those transactions appear in DTR. Instructions are mentioned in the screen itself - but users are not doing the necessary checks. Payroll reports should be compared with Budget reports, and if all the entries are matching, then there is no need for comparing DTR and Budget entries in r/o Payroll. 2. Already posted transactions are being posted to Budget, without cross-checking if the entry is already available. If the entry is not appearing immediately in Budget side, users are advised to wait and check again, before retrying to post the entry repeatedly. Please circulate among the concerned

Post Office Savings Schemes Fully Digitised to Enhance Financial Inclusion New Delhi, Feb 11: The government has completed the digitisation of Post Office Savings Schemes, significantly improving access, transparency, and customer convenience across the country. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said that the Department of Posts currently serves more than 45 crore Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) account holders through a nationwide network of over 1.64 lakh post offices. To modernise postal savings, Core Banking Solution (CBS) has been implemented across POSB, enabling digital services such as ATMs, internet and mobile banking, online account opening and closure, deposits, real-time balance enquiry, and fund transfers through NEFT and RTGS. Linkage between India Post Payments Bank and POSB accounts has also been enabled, allowing seamless transactions.
